The Glen Moray distillery in Speyside has grown quickly over the past few years, with expansions vastly increasing the amount of whisky they can produce, with a good chunk of it making its way into blends. They have been distilling since 1897, so it’s certainly must have been a whirlwind couple of years for Glen Moray! Our label depicts a flood that happened in 2002 after the River Lossie burst its bank. The water made its way into the warehouses and carried away some of Glen Moray’s casks right out of the door! Mother Nature, bring that back!
Nose: Fruity with pear drops, Barley sugar, and green bananas initially, softening to full blown banana cake. Yummy!
Palate: Softly textured with citrus and pear drops over banana bread and a slight herbal note.
Finish: The herbal note continues into a spicy sweetness that lingers.
