Our Port Ellen 33 Year Old Named Scotch Whisky Taste Master!

Our sixth batch of Port Ellen single malt won an enviable award from The Spirits Masters on Friday - Scotch Whisky Taste Master!

We're always very excited to add more awards to our already sizeable collection (not that we're bragging or anything - good heavens, no!), so it's with great pride to announce that we snapped up a big one at The Spirits Masters 2017 on Friday...

Our bottling of 33 year old single malt from the legendary Port Ellen distillery was named Scotch Whisky Taste Master! There is only one Taste Master awarded per competition to the spirit deemed best in its class, and our Port Ellen 33 Year Old was up against stiff competition, with over 200 entrants in the running for this coveted title. To say we're chuffed to bits would be an understatement!

Since we're talking about it, we reckon that it's probably worth revisiting the this glorious whisky's tasting note. You know. For scientific purposes only.

Nose: Smoky toffee, salty BBQ’d lemons and a damp earthy forest floor.
Palate: Rich, sweet, and smoky, Wrigley’s Juicy Fruit chewing gum, spicy citrus notes and a deep, earthy smoke.
Finish: Salty liquorice, a citrus tang and earthy peat that lingers for an eternity.

And that's not all! The 15th batch of our bottling of Invergordon single grain Scotch whisky also picked up a Master Medal at The Design & Packaging Masters! A bounty of brilliant awards!

Another Macallan Bottled by our Fair Hands!

We've gone and bottled another new batch of Macallan single malt - it's a properly well-Sherried superstar!

Our independent bottling of single malt from the magnificent Macallan distillery have been much adored by many (and taken home a few awards, we might add!), so it's always exciting when we have a new batch to present to you lot. If you couldn't guess where this preamble was headed, we're going to spell it out for you...

Here's out newest bottling of Macallan single malt. It's 25 years old. It's bursting at the seams with Sherried brilliance. Only 31 bottles were produced. We're still not sure if the still on the label are actually that small or if the man is a giant. Ta-da, voilà, and other exclamations of that sort.

Behold, Our First Japanese and Swedish Whiskies!

Love whiskies from far-off lands? You're in luck, as we've got our very first Japanese and Swedish whiskies ready for you!

We've got a pair of very exciting, hotly-anticipated whiskies to share with you lovely folks today - both of which come from far-off lands! If you consider yourself a bit of a whisky globe-trotter, these will be right up your alley...

First up is our Japanese Blended Whisky #1 - a 21 year old expression boasting plenty of sweet caramel and runny honey notes, with intriguing red chilli notes cutting through deftly. Japanese whisky has garnered quite the reputation in recent years, and our first ever bottling of Japanese whisky is an excellent example as to why. There's 940 of these available, and we reckon they'll be gone quick as a flash!

Secondly, we've got our first bottling of Swedish single malt from the Mackmyra distillery! Even at just three years of age, this is a complex dram with loads and loads of delicious fresh fruit notes. Only 220 bottles of this Swedish single malt was produced. Now, what's the Elvish word for friend, again?
