We've reached a century!

We've reached a century!

That's right! Today we can proudly announce our 100th line with the release of our first ever single malt from the Speyburn Distillery.

Since launching in September 2012 with our first four releases, That Boutique-y Whisky Company has now bottled 100 different malts, blends, grains and more, with this Speyburn being our 100th first batch!

We've filled just 233* bottles at 49.5% of for our inaugural release from the Speyburn distillery, and our 7 Year Old has notes of grassy summer meadows with hints of orange oil.

*In addition to the 233 standard 50cl bottles we've also filled a one-of-a-kind special one litre bottle to mark this milestone and raise money for the charity Malaria No More UK.

Our one-off one litre bottle features hand-painted gold detail and a specially created presentation box, plus the bottle has been ‘pimped’ by prominent Speyburn enthusiast Jan Birch of Drumnadrochit. (Birch will require no introduction to Whisky Sponge readers).

The Charity Auction is running *NOW* over on Master of Malt - ending at 14:00 (BST) Monday 24th July - with everything raised (net of any applicable VAT) donated to Malaria No More UK! Dig all the pennies out from between the sofa cushions and raise money for an incredible cause!

This splendid Speyburn is available from fine retailers now with the recommended retail price of £46.95

Off-trade/on-trade enquiries should be directed to our UK distributor, Maverick Drinks.

99 Not Out!

99 Not Out!

We've got two new releases to shout about today including our 99th first batch, and hence a new label, from New York Distilling Company.

Our first ever batch from the New York Distilling Company is a two year old Rye and we've filled 600 bottles at 53% abv. The NYDC use 72% rye in their mashbill, all grown 'locally' within New York State. Although local, the farm is still a good five hour drive from Brooklyn! This first batch has been finished in Applejack casks.

We've also got a new batch from Islay's BruichladdichBatch 7 is a 15 Year Old, with just 420 bottles at 52.2% abv and has those classic laddie notes; beautifully balanced, with a creamy sweetness of honey and custard cream biscuits, while notes of heather bring a herbal element.

This brace of small batch whiskies are available from fine retailers now at the following recommended retail prices:

  • New York Distillery Company Batch 1, 2 Year Old - £37.95
  • Bruichladdich Batch 2, 15 Year Old - £69.95

Off-trade/on-trade enquiries should be directed to our UK distributor, Maverick Drinks.
