If you find yourself on the Isle of Islay, the Bunnahabhain distillery on the east coast of the island is definitely worth a visit. A beautiful distillery producing some beautiful whisky - of course you’ll want to head up there! Not only that, the label of our Bunnahabhain shows some other general goings-on around the distillery, like caber-tossing, sunbathing, vintage lorries and a racecar speeding along the windy roads! Racecar is racecar backwards. If you didn’t notice that before, now you know and are thinking about it too much.
Nose: Thick with orange oil and orchard fruit, with a hint of dark chocolate and sea salt.
Palate: Citrus, oak spices and juicy berries. A hearty helping of salted butter on rye bread.
Finish: A long, satisfying finish filled with coastal notes.
