There are many, many things we love about our beloved That Boutique-y Whisky Company but, we'd typing until our fingers cramp. And of course, we’ve got blends to be blending, teaspoons to be spooning and other important whisky matters to attend to. In honour of That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s 6th birthday, we’ve chosen 6 defining moments in our whisktory to share with you. It’s time to reminisce, to look back over the last 2,190 days and give ourselves a nice, big pat on the back.

It Begins
The very first time we unleashed our whiskies unto the world. We launched with 4 showstoppers: Ardbeg. Macallan, Caperdonich and Port Ellen. It's like looking back on the kids' first day at school, who knew we'd be talking 120+ labels by now (well, we did - we knew we were onto something glorious).

Our First "Teaspooned Malt"
Our first Blended Malt Whisky, Blended Malt #1 - genius, right? Almost all of this whisky hails from a much-loved distillery in the Speyside region (who's name we won't be spiller-ing) with a little spooned in from another distillery to deliver the Blended Malt we know and love. As you can see from the label, we really love that spoon.

We Won A Good'n
We won the World's Best Blended Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards - a huge, big deal. And what beautiful blend bagged us such a title? It was none other than our Blended Whisky #1. The world class judges described it as:
“Intense and phenolic nose with lovely, sweet, violet tinged peat.””

Cor blighty! Our First English Whisky
We couldn't have been more patriotic rustling this one up. Distilled by The English Whisky Company, distilled at St George's Distillery and named Single Malt English Whisky. Featuring St George himself bravely battling a Boutique-y Whisky hoarding dragon. We tend to don 3 lions or an English rose on our shirts when sipping this one.

Our 100th First Batch Bottling
And boy, did we celebrate. We released a big ol' 1 litre bottle of our 100th first batch of Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at Speyburn Distillery. A huge milestone that represented just how many whiskies we'd independently bottled from around the world. We pimped out the one-of-a-kind 1L bottle with gold detailing and a super cool presentation box too. We auctioned the bottle to raise money for Malaria No More UK and the final bid bagged the bigg’n for £600.01 (every penny counts after all).

Boutique-y Dave Wins World Whisky Brand Ambassador of the Year
Our very own Dave World Winning Worthington bagged the prestigious title of World Whisky Brand Ambassador of the Year - like we were surprised. Considered by many to be a whisky icon or Whisky God we sometimes like to refer to him as, I mean have you seen his beard? Majestic.
