Tamdhu is the only distillery that continues to use a saladin box to malt its barley. Our label of Tamdhu features Prince Saladin shadow-boxing in a boxing ring. Let it never be said that we are not the world's biggest fans of wordplay. If anyone tries to say that, call them a liar.
Nose: Aromas of dusty apples, grapefruit and sultanas rise through polished oak and almond pastries. Robust cinnamon, brandy butter and crisp barley provide the backdrop.
Palate: Sherry and malt combine on a palate filled with estery fruit, barley sugars and oily walnuts. Sweet cereals and dry fruitcake add depth, among polished oak and prickles of nutmeg and cinnamon.
Finish: A little almond butter lingers in a resinous finish.
