Founded way back in 1826, the Aberlour distillery has long been producing some splendid single malts in the Speyside town which shares its name. Though they have a reputation for producing some generously well-Sherried drams, their creamier, vanilla-rich expressions do pique our interest too! The label on our Aberlour bottling features the Mash Tun whisky bar in Aberlour - though who’s that nervous fellow peeking out of the window?

Tasting notes:

Nose:Juicy, creamy apple, cinnamon, apple lace sweets, apple and blackcurrant, lots of tasty apples!

Palate: Just a drop of water helps to reveal the oat biscuit character of this single malt, with a little apple and pear tang never too far away.

Finish: Light oak, hard pears and touches of cedar.
