    3. Only one entry per person is allowed in the competition.

  6. HOW TO WIN:

    1. Shortlisting, heats, and the final:

      • Shortlisting: After the entry period, a panel of judges from TBWC will collate all qualifying entries, group entrants based on their geographical location, and shortlist 24 entries, the entrants of which will be invited to a live heat in order to make/compete with their original cocktail/serve in person.

      • Heats: 3 heats sessions will be hosted live and in person: on 17 June 2024 Edinburgh, 18 June 2024 in Birmingham, and 19 June 2024 in London. The precise location and time of each heat will be communicated to entrants closer to time. Each entrant will only be required to compete in 1 of the heats (instead of all 3 heats). 8 entrants will compete at each heat and there will be 1 winner for each heat;

      • Final: After the heats sessions, the winner from each heat will compete in the final, which will be hosted on 4 July 2024 in Manchester. The precise location and time will be communicated to entrants closer to time. The winner of the final wins the competition.

    2. All qualifying entries at each stage will be judged based on the original cocktail/serve, including but not limited to the drink’s drinkability, creativity of the ingredients used, the garnish, the name and the story behind it.

    3. Unless otherwise expressly agreed with an entrant, all entrants are expected to make their own arrangements and bear their own expenses when participating in the competition, including travelling to and attending the heats and final (as applicable). TBWC may decide to offer reasonable assistance to travel costs on a case-by-case basis, but shall not be obligated to do so. In the circumstances that any entrant cannot attend or otherwise fails or is unreasonably delayed in attending a heat or the final (as applicable) in person on the date and at the time notified for whatever reason, TBWC will deem that the entrant has chosen to forfeit their place; TBWC will use its sole discretion to exclude such an entrant from the competition and/or select another eligible entrant to compete in the competition as it sees fit.

    4. TBWC will use reasonable endeavours to ensure entrants have access to basic/standard barware and equipment at the heats and final. However, entrants shall be primarily responsible for ensuring they have all necessary equipment and ingredients, especially any specialist equipment or ingredient. Please contact TBWC for more information or to request assistance.
