Back in 1965, the Deanston distillery found its home in an old cotton mill on the backs of the River Leith. The distillery is equipped with a turbine and a dam, meaning the river lends a hand when it comes to providing Deanston with power. Thanks, Mother Nature! As we mentioned, the distillery was founded in the ‘60s - that’s when all the hippies existed, with their jazzy t-shirts and headbands and whatnot. Hence why our Deanston label has a pair of hippies watching the stills of Deanston be installed. Far out! Groovy! Another phrase a hippy might say! Yeah!

Tasting notes:

Nose: Breakfast time! Marmalade and shredded wheat develop with barley, vanilla, caramel, milk chocolate, and some coconut.

Palate: A fresh palate entry of ripe plums from the fridge (or the icebox, if you're William Carlos Williams) and chopped mint leaf.

Finish: Your morning coffee, with lingering oats.
