That Boutique-y Whisky Company (that's us by the way) has been named Islands Independent Bottler of the Year at Whisky Magazine's Independent Bottlers' Challenge 2016, picking up an incredible 19 medals in the process!

The winners in the Whisky Magazine's annual awards have now been revealed and we're pretty damn chuffed to announce we've been named Islands Independent Bottler of the Year with our fifth batch of Arran single malt particularly impressing the judges!

"Orange juice with a light medicinal character hit first on the nose with light caramel notes popping in this fruity whisky."

Originally bottled for a rather discerning group of Whisky fans, the Gold Medal-winning Arran was the official bottle of Dramboree 2016. From some of the oldest Arran stocks around, this limited run of 75 bottles (at 54.6% abv) had a special Dramboree label that featured a few things from previous events that only diehard Dramboree'ers would spot! If you can't track one of these beauties down, check out our latest batch of Arran - another 19 year old - available from fine retailers now.

It's not just Islands malts we're good at bottling though, Gold Medals were also awarded to our fifth batch of Fettercairn (Highlands), our first batch of Mortlach (Speyside) and our secret distillery Islay #1!
